Sneak Peeks

Aw man, things are heating up on Gossip Girl. Queen Serena is back. Can't wait for tonight's episode.

"Dexter" Season 3 Premiere...

... was insanely hot. Oh boy, this is going to be a great season. What did you guys think of tonight's episode? What do you think of the new characters? How about that curve ball at the end, eh? TV's hottest show is back!

From E!Online's Watch With Kristin

* I'm hearing of a big character turn for Masuka (C.S. Lee), meaning he won't always be the glib jokester we first met.

* Look for a kinder, gentler Laguerta (Lauren Vélez), who is no longer interested in micromanaging her staff, but who is still dealing with the repercussions of the Doakes situation, and finding herself a bit lonely as a result...

* Batista (David Zayas) will be promoted to sergeant, taking Doakes' badge. According to Phillips, "He learns it's more than just a pay raise, it's a quantum leap in responsibility: You've got to send people into harm's way, you have to take people off of cases, put them on cases." And, of course, he's lookin' for love, trying to find "someone who won't hurt him" (unlike, say, his ex-wife and that British vixen who must not be named).

* Deb's breaking out! According to Clyde, "Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) is going to find love from an unlikely source—and I don't mean anything other than heterosexual. There will be a couple of candidates, and the one that she ends up with will be a wonderful surprise, hopefully not only to her, but to the audience. She's also striving for her shield this year, and she will get very involved in the A-story, what we call the 'big bad' arc of the year." [x]

James Franco "Interview" Magazine Shoot

Seven years ago he played James Dean in a television biopic, tinting his hair and squinting his eyes to Rebel Without a Cause-like perfection. Ever since, the temptation has been to peg him as a good-looking young man felled by the moody blues. While it’s a fact of life that no one can ever really know what lies beneath the surface of another, the Internet can help narrow the field of possibilities. Lo and behold, Generalissimo James Edward Franco: a merry prankster, and the latest on-screen love interest of Sean Penn (in the upcoming film Milk, which hits theaters December 5th).

Cristiano Ronaldo Releases Steamy New Calendar

The only wonder is that it took Man United’s CRISTIANO RONALDO so long, especially after DAVID BECKHAM’s red-hot number – which we featured in The Sun yesterday.

But now the winking winger’s admirers can ogle their 23-year-old hero up close and personal 365 days a year, we have to point out – his calendar’s a bit gay.

In fact we’re not sure that even the most avid footie fans would allow it on their wall, thanks to its steamy shots of Ronaldo’s waxed, trimmed and toned physique.

And it also remains to be seen if the saucy beach snaps will appeal to the fairer sex either.
So the question is ladies & gentlemen, how many of you are going to go out and buy this calendar? [x]

I'm so getting this. I've looked everywhere for pictures/scans of the calendar with no luck. He's such a hottie. =]

"Fringe" Episode 4 Preview

Episode: The Arrival
Synopsis: The team investigates a strange cylinder, found in a deadly explosion at a construction site in New York City. The cylinder was in the middle of the explosion and was completely unharmed. Olivia uncovers a correlation between different disturbing events.
Airs: 9/30/2008

I absolutely loved the last episode of Fringe. I was kind of on the fence with the show, especially after the rather boring premiere episode. Things are looking good; not only has the quality of the show improved but the ratings have increased since it's premiere.

Katie Couric Interview With Sarah Palin

Portion of the Transcript from Interview

COURIC: But he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.

PALIN: He's also known as the maverick, though. Taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about — the need to reform government.

COURIC: I'm just going to ask you one more time, not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation?

PALIN: I'll try to find you some, and I'll bring them to you.

Wow, how dumb can she be? This is who you want in the White House? She sounds so lost and clueless and is clearly unprepared for this interview, let alone become vice president of the United States.

Thanks to Proctor for the video.

Solange On The Angie Martinez Show

In other news, Solange's album Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams is #68 this week on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, selling a little over 7,000 copies. This brings the album total to 80,162.

Pussycat Dolls Fail To Dominate

The reviews for the Pussycat Doll's second album, Doll Domination are in...

What the Pussycat Dolls make painfully clear on "Doll Domination" (Interscope) is that, as far as music is concerned, they are not the dominators, they are the dominated. They sound like they are at the mercy of their songwriters and producers, making for huge swings in quality. One minute, they will sound sleek and empowered, as they do on Missy Elliott's "Whatcha Think About That," the next they will sound hopeless and screechy as they do on "Inside Man," which may have the worst opening minute of any major-label pop song this year. (Think Christina Aguilera, only off-key and screaming, over a jazzed-up version of Stevie Wonder's "Part Time Lover.") - Newsday (C-)

This follow-up to 2005’s multiplatinum PCD finds lead Doll Nicole Scherzinger in the spotlight, and she’s no Beyoncé. As for the others, well…can you name them? Do you even know how many there are?

There are two kinds of girl groups: those anchored by a superstar (the Supremes, Destiny's Child), and those made up of charismatic personalities
endowed with limited individual gifts (Spice Girls, TLC). The Pussycat Dolls are
neither — they're a brand, not a band. - Entertainment Weekly (C+)

But too often, the Dolls offer nothing that gives their own group a definitive personality. Standard-issue diva lyrics—mostly about their excellent hairstyles and less-than-excellent exes—don’t help. - Rollingstone (2.5/5)

There’s nothing that comes within sniffing distance of “Don’t Cha,” the Cee-Lo penned bit of winking R&B that announced their presence to the world. Instead, Doll Domination is a series of signifiers to other, more interesting, moments in recent pop culture. - Los Angeles Times (1.5/4)

Ouch. The album was released this past Tuesday and the sales estimates aren't looking too good either.

Nicole S. and company return with estimates in the 70-75k range for their latest, Doll Domination, the follow-up to their 2.8 million-selling debut PCD.

What went wrong? Even with their current smash single ("When I Grow Up") and a multiplatinum album to their belt, the Dolls' have failed to make an impact this time around. Maybe Nicole's unsuccessful attempt at a solo career still has fans a bit turned off? Or maybe the album is just a slow seller and none of this means diddly squat. Mhm... we shall see.

Say Goodbye To CDs

Forget those old-fashioned CDs, USB memory stick albums, Ringles and terrible-sounding MP3s. The SanDisk corporation has a whole new format that will allow you to re-purchase all the music you already own in a new, really tiny package called slotMusic. Thanks to deals with all four major labels, SanDisk’s microSD card format will be the new, new way to purchase your music legally this holiday season. Though the official release did not mention any specific albums, RollingStone.com reported that the first batch of cards will feature 29 artists, including Weezer, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and Elvis Presley.

The one-gig cards — which will come in a USB “sleeve” in order to interface easily with computers, cell phones and MP3 players — will hit Best Buy and Wal-Mart before the end of the year. Each card contains a DRM-free album in 320 kbps quality on a card the size of a fingernail. (So, no worries about dropping one between the seats of the car or anything.) The capacity of each card — which could hold about eight albums at a high bit rate — will likely encourage artists to load them up with liner notes, videos, photos, bonus tracks and other filler — er, extras. The price of the cards has not been announced.

The cards are actually not all that new. The 30th anniversary edition of Bob Marley’s Exodus was released on microSD cards and USB memory sticks last year, for all of you who didn’t already own that one on vinyl, cassette and one of the three CD reissues. [x]

I'm hearing the price will range from $15-$17. Not bad at all, this sounds interesting. My only question is to those of us who own CD players; how the hell are we going to play these USB albums?

New Trey Songz Song

This is titled Misunderstood. I have no idea where it's from or if it's a new single; all I know is that it's a new song. Thoughts?

Pink Post!

So What

Trouble

Who Knew

Sober

Please Don't Leave Me

Rumor has it that Sober is going to be the second single. Based on the video clip, I can already tell I'm going to love this song. =]

In other P!nk news, the track listing for her upcoming album Funhouse has been posted on Sony BMG's website.

1. So What [3:35]
2. Sober (ft. Tony Kanal) [4:11]
3. I Don't Believe You [4:35]
4. One Foot Wrong [3:23]
5. Please Don't Leave Me [3:51]
6. Bad Influence [3:35]
7. Funhouse (ft. Tony Kanal) [3:25]
8. Crystal Ball [3:26]
9. Mean [4:17]
10. It's All Your Fault [7:43]
11. Ave Mary A [3:14]
12. Glitter In The Air [3:47]

Her last album, I'm Not Dead, had 13 tracks and a "bonus" one so this isn't too bad. The old track listing featured three songs not included in this version: Boring, This Is How It Goes and What Do You Want From Me. Bonus/international tracks perhaps?

I can't remember the last time I was this excited for an album release. I am a known Pink stan and I'm beyond ecstatic for new music! Sober is another smash hit in the making. I can already imagine the dark, depressing video which will probably be directed by Dave Meyers. I'm so ready for this new era for Pink, are you?

In other developments, Lily spirits Olive off to a nunnery so she won’t spill Lily’s deep, dark secret.

Jazmine Sullivan "Fearless" In Stores Today

Lions, Tigers & Bears

Bust Your Window

Philly singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan's debut album Fearless finally hits stores today. The album features the #1 R&B single Need U Bad which was produced by Missy Elliott.

I have to tell you, I'm in love with this album. This has to be the best album I've heard since Amy Winehouse's stellar Back 2 Black. Coincidentally so, the album features production from Salaam Remi which also produced tracks for Amy.

Bust Your Windows has got to be one of the best tracks I've heard all year. Maybe it's because I can relate... not to her smashing windows... but to the pain and betrayal she went through in her relationship. The smash single Need U Bad and the riveting In Love With Another Man showcase her songwriting skills and her unique vocals.

Even with all the Amy Winehouses, Duffys, Estelles and (even) Solanges out there, Jazmine Sullivan is a complete breath of fresh air that is very much needed in the music scene right now. The girl is extremely talented and I recommend all of you to go out and give this album a buy.

Forbe's List Of "Best Paid Music Stars"

If the perennial rumors about the death of the music business are true, nobody's told The Police. Or Beyoncé. Or Madonna.

Indeed, though there's no denying music's old business model has taken a massive hit in recent years--blame it on piracy, the Web or the advent of the recordable CD--there's still plenty of money to be made in the music industry.

In fact, the 10 stars on our list of the world's top-earning musicians raked in a combined $500 million between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008, thanks in large part to lucrative tours, endorsement contracts and all-encompassing deals. ( Hip-hop stars have been ranked separately.)

Topping the list: The Police, who banked $115 million over the course of the year, proving the big money is made on the road rather than in the recording studio.

Once famous for not getting along, the timeless rockers reunited in 2007 to perform their early hit "Roxanne" at the Grammy Awards. From there, the band fronted by Sting set out on a sold out and highly lucrative five-continent reunion tour. Some 400 fans, both young and old, forked over a collective $200 million in tickets to see the trio perform. Not bad for a trio that got their start in the late-1970s.

Singer-turned-brand Beyoncé Knowles comes in second, raking in $80 million during the 12-month period.

Once a Destiny's Child group member, the Houston native went solo in 2003 and has since released two platinum albums. She's also built a successful entertainment empire that includes fashion, film and publishing deals. She has found still more time to sell $50 million in tickets on a recent tour, take a lead role as Etta James in the upcoming flick Cadillac Records and shill for a slew of brands, including L'Oréal, American Express (nyse: AXP - news - people ) and an Armani fragrance.

Nabbing the third spot on our list is sometimes controversial--and always popular-- Toby Keith, who earned $48 million this past year. The country music star, famous for songs like "How Do You Like Me Now?" and "Beer for my Horses ," reached the impressive sum with lengthy concert tours, a lucrative endorsement deal with Ford Motor (nyse: F - news - people ) and a chain of successful restaurants that bare his name. The patriotic rocker writes all of his own songs and owns his recording label as well.

Justin Timberlake comes in fourth with earnings of $44 million.

Like his peers, the boy bander turned tabloid staple has diversified his brand, dabbling in music (2 million fans paid $100 million to see his latest tour), commercials (appeared in a Pepsi (nyse: PEP - news - people ) Super Bowl commercial), fashion (co-founded fashion label William Rast) and hospitality (co-owns restaurants Destino and Southern Hospitality). The "Sexy Back" star also signed a development deal with MTV and heads his own music label.

Rounding out the top five is Madonna, who took home $40 million during the year.

The onetime material girl has capitalized on her talent and bold-face name by cutting a mega deal with concert promotions giant Live Nation (nyse: LYV - news - people ), worth a reported $120 million over 10 years. The deal encompasses Madonna's future music and music-related businesses, including touring, albums, merchandising, DVDs and music-reality film and TV projects.

Not bad for heavyweights of an industry on the decline.

10. Gwen Stefani- $27 Million
9. Genesis- $ 31 million
8. Van Halen- $35 million
7. Rascal Flatts- $40 million
6. Celine Dion- $40 million
5. Madonna- $40 million
4. Justin Timberlake- $44 million
3. Toby Keith- $48 million
2. Beyonce Knowles- $80 million
1. The Police- $115 million
[x]

Damn Beyonce, make that money girl. She's killing the competition right now and the girl doesn't even have an album out. The Police are set for life, they've been on this list year after year for how long already?

I can't wait for tonight's episode. Season two was a let down so I hope they learned from their mistakes and deliver this time around. My future wife Kristen Bell ("Elle") is signed on for thirteen more episodes =]. There's this really big fight with her tonight. I hope they don't kill her off =[. Fellow Veronica Mars alumn Francia Capra joins the show and plays a new baddie with ties to Peter. Nikki is back (no, wait, her name is Tracy now) and I've been seeing pictures of "dark/evil" Claire and Peter. Mhmm... we shall see.

Jennifer Hudson On Beyonce

After she won the Oscar over her Dreamgirls co-star, Beyonce, rumours abounded of a rift between the two, but Hudson says she has nothing but respect for the former Destiny's Child superstar.

"I have always looked up to Beyonce," Hudson says. "Her career path and how she handles it and her work ethic is amazing to me.

"Right now, I don't think I would be able to get through a film and a music career if I didn't have Beyonce's career to look at and say, 'If she can do it, I can do it'." [x]

Aw how nice of her <3. I must say that I absolutely LOVE Jennifer Hudson's song Spotlight. You have no idea how many times a day I blast that song in my dorm. Her self-titled debut hits stores September 30th.

Hugh Dancy On Cover Of "Vogue Hommes International"

English actor Hugh Dancy ("Blood & Chocolate," "King Arthur") appears on the cover this month's Vogue Hommes International. Not really too familiar with his work (haven't seen any of his movies) but I'm definitely loving this photoshoot.

Christina Aguilera's Greatest Hits Album

1. Genie In A Bottle (New Version)
2. What A Girl Wants
3. Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)
4. Lady Marmalade (New Version)
5. Dirrty (featuring Redman)
6. Beautiful (New Version)
7. Fighter
8. Ain't No Other Man
9. Hurt
10. Candyman
11. Keeps Gettin' Better
12. Dynamite

What's up with her not having Nobody Wants To Be Lonely, I Turn To You or Can't Hold Us Down on there? She could have included a broader collection than this. I won't be copping this. I want some new X-tina!

The Pussycat Dolls "Watcha Think About That" Behind The Scene

I do not like this song at all. That being said I expect a lot from the video since their videos are always on point. This sort of reminds me of Beyonce's Freekum Dress video a little bit.

"Fringe" Episode 3 Preview

Episode: The Ghost Network
Synopsis: A man who has visions of the future is introduced. He sees a pattern-related terror attack and the team, led by Dr. Bishop, tries to prevent this event from occurring.

I'm quickly growing to love this show. Last week's episode was way better than the premiere. Can't wait for this week's episode.

Anyone Watching "True Blood"?

I don't know how this show slipped under my radar. I'm a sucker (no pun intended) for vampire shows. I have yet to watch a single episode of this show but the reviews and ratings have been pretty good. HBO has already ordered a second season. I'm a give this one a shot.

Midnight: A Gangster Love Story

Souljah's follow-up to her bestselling novel, The Coldest Winter Ever, is another gritty coming-of-age tale, picking up the story of Midnight (a character in Coldest Winter) as he tries desperately to navigate American culture, Brooklyn streets and the dicey business of growing up. The novel begins as seven-year-old Midnight and his pregnant mother, Umma, are forced to leave their privileged life in Sudan for a hardscrabble American existence. Midnight spends his formative years in Brooklyn guiding and translating for his loyal, loving and talented mother, helping her get a factory job while encouraging her to start a clothing line. Eventually, Midnight starts working at a Chinatown fish shop, finds love, joins a dangerous hustler's basketball league and tries to disentangle his ambivalent feelings toward romance, family and personal honor. Souljah's sensitive treatment of her protagonist is honest and affecting, with some realistic moments of crisis. Unfortunately, a slack plot and slow pacing cause serious bloat, and Souljah's distinctive prose is woefully unpolished. Frustrations aside, Souljah has obvious talent and sincere motives, making her a street-lit sophomore worth watching.

The book will be available on November 4th.

I <3 The Coldest Winter Ever so I'm definitely copping this as soon as it comes out.

JDMA: Men In Tight Tights (Episode #4)

Drama erupts when the female contingent squares off to model for a cosmetic line. And there's a lack of model behavior when one poser is fired and yet another is ousted from the house. Elsewhere, one model's eating habits come under scrutiny.

[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4] [Part 5]

I couldn't help but laugh when Polina didn't book the Tinte job. Who does she think she is? I don't think she's that pretty; I don't get the hype.

Dominique won't be at the agency for too long. I think that was unprofessional for her to had booked another job and not tell Janice.

How cute did those guys look in tights? Danny is gorgeous. Ugh. I'm so happy she asked him to move in. =]

Who is this cutie with the fatty? [lol]

Gabe is so overdramatic. He definitely fueled that arguement with Peyton. That being said, I can't stand guys like Peyton.

I don't care what Polina says, I think she does indeed have an eating disorder. I'm curious to see how this is going to play out throughout the season.

Crystal is by far the best "high fashion" model on the agency, period.

Didn't really see too much of Maurice on this episode but I guess Danny kind of made up for it.

House Of Dereon Obama Shirt

Beyonce's clothing line House Of Dereon has released their own Obama shirts. They go for $60 a pop. Pretty expensive shirt, Obama message and all.

R.Kelly's Bet Interview

Funk Master Flex Airing Him Out

It is obvious that R.Kelly has some serious issues. As good of an artist as he used to be, it's a shame how delusional he has become. Or maybe he's always been like that. The man has lost it.

Santo's ANTM Post (Episode #4)

Episode: You're Beautiful, Now Change
Synopsis: The girls are ecstatic when Tyra announces it's time for makeovers, but of course tears are shed at the end results of the maneuver. Meanwhile, supermodel Susan Holmes stops by to guide the girls through a swimsuit-themed photo shoot.

Watch the episode here: [Part 1][Part 2][Part 3][Part 4] [Part 5]

Elina

By far my favorite photo of last night's episode. Excellent.

Lauren Brie

She looks so beautiful in this picture. That's two weeks in a row where she's taken amazing pictures.

McKey

This girl looks like a model already. She reminds me of Milla Jovovich.

Sam

Sam is quickly becoming one of the top dogs in this competition. The new haircut is doing wonders for her. Not my favorite picture but it's among the best of this shoot.

Marjorie

This looks like something I'd see in one of the British fashion magazine editorials. I don't like the way her hand is positioned though.

Joslyn

I love her pose but she lost me at the face. Excellent pose though.

Sheena

My favorite girl of this cycle disappointed me with this picture. I love the way her body is positioned but I'm not feeling the "look away from the camera" thing. Nonetheless, I love this girl and I'm rooting for her to win (along with Elina).

Hannah

I don't like her pose from the waist up. She looks confused and lost. Blah.

Analeigh

This picture would've been so hot had she just looked at the camera and positioned her hands better. She's so pretty but I'm not convinced she has modeling potential.

Isis

I don't know what's happening to my girl Isis but she's quickly losing her spark. What happened to that fierceness she had during the first two shoots? Not feeling this picture.

Clark

I'm one of the few that actually likes Clark, but this picture was just plain boring.

Britney [ELIMINATED]

Like they kept saying on the episode, she's just "pretty." That's all I get from her, nothing more, nothing less. I agree with them eliminating her.

P!nk Scores First Solo #1 Of Her Career

For the first time in her career, Pink has climbed to the #1 spot on the Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her smash hit So What. The song has been #1 on iTunes for the past two weeks straight and has sold over 746,408 copies in just three weeks. It's hard to imagine that the rock star who gave us the hits Get The Party Started and Just Like A Pill, has never had a #1 hit before (with the exception of the Lady Marmalade collaboration with Lil Kim, Mya and Christina Aguilera). Congrats to Pink on scoring her biggest hit yet. =]

Check out these new promo pictures.
