Will.i.Am's New Obama Video "We Are The Ones"

I <3 it. It's nice to see other fellow Latinos supporting Obama. I guess Beyonce couldn't make it to the video shoot. Another job well done by Will.i.Am.

Rodney Jerkins Working On Some Mid-Tempos For Beyonce

This is just what I wanted to hear. I've been waiting for Ms. Knowles to take it back to those soulful mid-tempos from the The Writings On The Wall album. Even her debut album, Dangerously In Love, had some really good mid-tempos (Speechless, Me Myself & I, Yes). Rodney Jerkins has produced some of her and Destiny's Child's biggest hits. Can't wait to hear the end result.

Flashback: God Hates Fags On Tyra Banks Show

This episode aired about a year ago and boy was there an uproar after this. Three members of the God Hates Fags group from Westboro's Baptist Church appeared on the Tyra Banks show to disgust their disgust with gays and gay enablers. They went as far as to call Ms. Banks a "fag enabler" because she "very supportive of the gay community" and God "does not like that." They talked a whole bunch of shit. Why Tyra Banks allowed them to be on the show and not really say anything to them is plain idiotic. The only thing Tyra said the entire episode that I applauded her for was her questioning them on why they protest gays and not serial killers, rapists and pedophiles. Ugh, just watch the interview.

Part 1.

Part 2.

*Breathes* I'm a young guy. My birthday is next week and I'm about to hit the twenty mark. I have a lot to learn, a lot to see and a lot to experience. But in my twenty years of living I've encountered some extremely ignorant people, seen discrimination and hate firsthand and this shit has just got to stop. We live in America, where my views and thoughts are just as welcomed as yours. But when you're trying to turn YOUR views and YOUR opinions into FACTS, and make it HARDER for people who aren't in your "circle" or for people who aren't "like you," then that's where I have a problem. The "being gay is a sin" debacle has been beaten to death and stepped on over and over again and I'm not even going to get into that right now. That being said, I do NOT believe that being gay is a sin. That's as absurd as saying that you liking a criminal, is a sin. You like who you like. You're attracted to who you're attracted to. What the fuck is the problem? But for argument's sake, let's pretend that it IS a sin, just for the hell of it.

"Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

What does that mean? Why do a lot of bible thumpers pick and choose? Why is it that they're so against gay marriage because gays can't have children but they DON'T protest the couples who can't have children due to medical conditions? Why are serial killers, convicted felons, rapists, pedophiles all ALLOWED to marry, but gays are not? Britney Spears can have a 55 hour marriage, people can get married on TV for the hell of it but gays... no they're going to hell and die and rot and just no. What are the gays doing to you? Does the thought of two men together eat you up at night? How much do you want to bet a lot of the homophobes are CLOSET homosexuals? Who are you to decide who should love who? Why do people mention the bible with extreme quickness whenever gays are mentioned, but refuse to mention it when it's in regards to them, and they're lying, deceiving and cheating ways? Give me a fucking break. I'm so tired of the "I'm right no matter what" mentality. I'm tired of how unchristian like many religious people behave when they're trying to get their views across. Can someone explain THAT to me? Why so many religious folks turn to hatred and even violence, to prove their point? The fact that they think being gay is something you can turn OFF and ON proves their stupidity and ignorance. So what, if gays "became" str8, are you going to be their friends? Are you going to give them money? What's the point? Why are you worried about ME going to hell? Worry about your own damn problems. I don't give a fuck who you are you can't tell me SHIT about what I can or cannot do. I'm fucking gay and I'm going to keep being gay till the day I die. And I'm going to fight for my rights with the same force you're trying to take them from me. Ignorance is bliss but I'm not going to let no ignorant bastards criticize me and act like I'm some type of inferior being. Fuck outta here.

Kelly Rowland To Pose For Playboy?

It has been revealed that Kelly Rowland will wear her birthday suit for an upcoming cover shoot for PLAYBOY magazine. The Destiny’s Child singer is reportedly receiving around $500,000 - $1 Million dollars to pose nude. [x]

The source is not really credible but for some reason, I wouldn't doubt this. Kelly Rowland has posed nude before (of course she didn't really reveal anything, she covered it up with her hands) and it doesn't seem like a far fetched idea. Add to that the fact that her career has been stalling ever since Destiny's Child broke up. You know how it is, celebrities will do ANYTHING for money these days. That being said, I can't wait to see the pictures! ;)

Tyra Bank's Black Women: State Of Union

Tyra Banks recently aired a very interesting discussion on her talk show regarding black women: how they feel about black men dating "outside" their race, why so many black women are single and etcera. Very interesting topic which proved to be quite controversial. She also interviewed Monique Coleman (High School Musicals) and asked for her views on being an up & coming black actress in Hollywood. Check it out.

Madonna Preps "Hard Candy"

Madonna to release new album "Hard Candy" in April

Madonna has dubbed her final album of new material for her longtime Warner Bros. label "Hard Candy", and will release it on April 29, her publicist confirmed Tuesday.

The album, which features such songs as "Candy Store" and the first single "Four Minutes", is the follow-up to "Confessions on a Dance Floor", which debuted at No. 1 on the US pop chart in November 2005.

The title and release date were first reported by Entertainment Weekly's Web site (http://www.ew.com), and the details were confirmed by Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg. Entertainment Weekly quoted Rosenberg as saying the 49-year-old singer "loves candy".

"Hard Candy" will be Madonna's last studio release for Warner Bros. before she begins a wide-ranging 10-year recording, touring and merchandising deal with Artist Nation, an initiative launched by concert promoter Live Nation. Warner Bros, a unit of Warner Music Group Corp. will also release a hits collection. [x]

I can't wait for the video, which was directed by Jonas & Francois and features Justin Timberlake. Madonna is about to shut it DOWN once again.

Rihanna Sounding A Hot Mess

The girl is gorgeous, she really is. And she has some of the catchiest tunes I've heard in a while. But God damn, she can't sing for shit. One can only wonder what career she would have if she was ugly. Ok, let's add this up:

She can't dance + she can't sing + she doesn't write her songs + she isn't a good performer + she's beautiful = a huge superstar.

How the FUCK is that possible? Something ain't right. With her looks and lack of musical talents you would think she'd be better of modeling (a la Cassie). Nonetheless, I can hate all day and night but bish is getting paid. She's selling records, she's winning awards and she has more top 10s at the age of 19 than anyone I can remember. Oh well.

It's Just Been A Bad Week

OK the weekend can't come soon enough. It's only Tuesday and I'm already tired of this shit. Bills, work, family, school, dumb bitches; it's a tad much right now. Once Friday rolls around, forget it I'm getting trashed. And next week is my birthday so forget about it; it's a wrap. But I miss my Bambush (nickname for my best friend, who no longer lives in the U.S.). In a world filled with so many phonies and opportunists, you are as REAL as REAL gets. I <3 you.

I've realized, that not everyone is who they say they are and not everyone is a friend.

God give me patience.

They say "good things come to those who wait." Well, I'm still waiting.

Janet Jackson Spoofs MTV Shows, Discipline In Stores NOW!

She's hilarious.

Anyways, Janet Jackson's new album Discipline hits stores today. Who's buying it?

The reviews are in and well, they're pretty mixed:

RollingStone
Janet Jackson has abandoned the plastic R&B of 2006's 20 Y.O. for a sexier brand of digitized megapop. On her Def Jam debut, the beats are as crass and processed as Jackson's heavy breathing, so she sounds more like a sex droid than a blow-up doll, which is way hotter — for starters, sex droids show more initiative. (3.5/5)

All Music
The likes of "Never Letchu Go" (a sweet, glistening ballad), "Luv" (carrying a brisk, feel-good clap-and-bounce), "Rollercoaster" (suitably jittery and giddy), and "Can't B Good" (practically a descendent of her brother Michael's "Can't Help It," with that gentle and affecting self-examination that only a Jackson can do so well) are as innocent, universal, and inviting as anything else in Janet's past. (4/5)

Entertainment Weekly
Indeed, though Jackson boasts in ''Feedback'' that her swagger is ''heavy like a first day period,'' it's more like a bloody mess. (C-)

Daily News
While it would hardly be wise to go the "Unplugged" route with a singer like this, here Jackson's voice sounds more treated than a sewage plant. Her vocals seem as worked over, and airbrushed, as Joan Collins' face in extreme closeup. (D)

I've never been big on Janet. Sure, I LOVE some of her classic albums; Control, Rhythm Nation, Janet; but a lot of those records came out when I was 3-5 years old so I didn't really get to appreciate them till years later. I did not like like her All 4 U album. Damita Jo... meh. And 20 Y.0 was a hot mess. But now she's releasing her 10th studio album and I must admit I like what I hear. Obviously, it's NOTHING compared to the classics I previously mentioned, NOTHING. While I doubt that she's going to go multi-platinum or have any #1 hits with this album, after the many failed efforts of attempting to make a "comeback," Ms. Jackson has at least managed to make a solid R&B album. Gotta give her props for that. [B-]

Will.I.Am Readying Second Barack Obama Video With Help From Beyonce

Will.I.Am Readying Second Barack Obama Video -- Possibly With Beyonce's Help

George Lopez, John Leguizamo have already recorded vocals for 'We Are the Ones.'

Two weeks after Barack Obama delivered his "Yes We Can" speech in Nashua, New Hampshire, the Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am assembled an all-star cast of musicians and actors (including Common, John Legend and Scarlett Johansson) to appear on his "remix" of the speech and the accompanying video, an arty, black-and-white clip that quickly became a YouTube sensation, racking up more than 4 million views.

Now, two weeks after Obama delivered another speech — this one from his hometown of Chicago, after a triumphant Super Tuesday in which he won 14 states — Will is at it again, booking time in a Los Angeles studio to record yet another pro-Obama tune.

"Right now, since we're in the early stages, I think the song is gonna be called 'We Are the Ones.' It's inspired by a line in his speech after Super Tuesday, when he was in Chicago: 'We are the ones we have been waiting for,' " he told MTV News. "It lit another inspirational fire in me when he said that in his speech. So I decided to get to work on another track. We're lining up people to appear on it right now, and that's the easy part, because people are just passionate to want to be a part of it. There's no casting ... the inspiration is the casting director."

Though the "Ones" project is still in the early stages, MTV News heard a snippet of the song, and, in keeping with the spoken-word feel of his "Yes We Can" track, it's pretty minimal: little more than some Rhodes piano chords, some "We Will Rock You" handclaps and a chanted chorus of "O-Ba-Ma! O-Ba-Ma!"

"I kept it real simple and bare to the bones because it's really more about what people are saying," Will said.

So far comedians/actors George Lopez and John Leguizamo have recorded spoken parts for the track, and a publicist for the project told MTV News Jessica Alba, Ryan Phillippe, Ben McKenzie, Macy Gray and the Black Eyed Peas' Tabu are slated to participate. And rumor has it that Beyoncé is trying to clear up her schedule to make an appearance too. The whole thing is coming together with a spur-of-the-moment kind of feel (in the studio, Will was collaborating with a New York-based percussionist via online chat service Skype), and it looks like that's the way it'll be until the song is finished.

"I'm here in the studio, doing the new Obama song, then I leave tonight, head straight for the airport, take the files with me on the airplane, and I'll be finishing my part of the song in the air," Will explained. "When I land — every airport has Internet — then I'll send what I did on the airplane back to have them edit the video, so then in 24 hours, half the video will be done."

It seems like an awful lot of work for a guy who hasn't even been contacted by Obama's campaign. "I don't expect to. If I did, I would be worried. ... If the phone call comes in, like, 'Hey, this is Barack Obama, I want to talk to you,' I'd be like, 'Uh, hey dude. You should be running for president. I'll talk to you later,' " Will laughed. But he sees it as his civic duty, his chance to sway potential voters and get them interested in the candidate that Will thinks can change everything, the candidate that has personally inspired him.

"When we were in high school, junior high and elementary, they made us recite speeches: 'Four score and seven years ago,' 'Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.' And we remember those lines, it was part of our homework," he said. "And these kids nowadays, there's no one in the political world that says anything that kids want to recite. It's all fear tactics and things like that. Agendas that go over kids' heads. ... But here's this man named Barack Obama, who, for the first time in a long time, is gonna be part of [kids'] homework assignments to recite these words.

"And there's a lot of skeptical people out there who say, 'Well, those are just words.' But I say, 'When was the last time words didn't mean anything? When was the last time you didn't use words to define how you felt, or describe the things you want to achieve?' " he continued. "Words are powerful. Words and images together are powerful. Words, music and images are even more powerful. So I wanted to do my part with the 'Yes We Can' song, and the result of that has inspired me to no end. The youth in America is waking up. The slumber is gone. We can't continue to do things in the dark, now that someone has turned on the light. ... It's beautiful." [x]

Beyonce? Getting political? No way. Well, it doesn't come as THAT much of a surprise considering she donated money to Obama's campaign. Good girl. It's good to see celebrities stepping outside their fantasy worlds to deal and talk about the important issues such as the presidential campaign.

Jus In Bello
FBI Agent Henricksen finally captures Sam and Dean, but is caught in the middle when a horde of demons descends on the small-town jail to eliminate the brothers.

This has got to be the best Supernatural promo I've ever seen. And if it's any indication of tonight's episode, we're in for one hell of a treat, no pun intended. After tonight's episode, the show will go on a two month hiatus and return on April 24th, for the remaining four episodes of the season.

Keyshia Cole Preps Video For "Didn't I Tell You"

Fallin Out is indeed Keyshia Cole's next single but Ms. Cole is already planning on shooting the video for her 5th single, Didn't I Tell You in Los Angeles next month. Diane Martel is going to direct the video.

Lost Star Dominic Monaghan To Star In Wolverine Film

20th Century Fox has cast former Lost star Dominic Monaghan as Barnell Bohusk, aka Blackwing, in X-Men: Wolverine, sources reveal exclusively to JustJared.com.

According to Wiki, Barnell’s body changes into that of a humanoid-bird form, with a beaked face, bulbous eyes, wing-like arms that give him the ability to fly (albeit clumsily), talons on his hands and feet, and double-jointed knees. In mutant form, Blackwing also possesses heightened agility, and he may possess heightened senses and a lighter skeletal structure like the avian X-Man formerly known as the Angel (Ben Foster played this character in X3).

Monaghan, 31, be joining Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit), Will.i.am (Kestrel), Danny Huston (William Stryker), and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox).

X-Men: Wolverine slashes its way into theaters on May 1, 2009. [x]

Damn, they're casting everyone and their momma for this Wolverine film. They've casted Will.i.am, Taylor Kitsch and now Dominic Monaghan all in this past week. I'm pretty sure there's a couple more on the way. I was a big fan of Dominican on Lost and in the Lord Of The Rings movies so I have no doubt in my mind that he can pull off the role of Blackwing.

Etta is Going to Teach Beyonce a Thing or Two

Beyoncé is going to have the best coach in the biz when she takes on the role of Etta James in Cadillac Records, a forthcoming movie about Etta's life. The legendary singer tells PageSix.com exclusively that she's going to be advising the "Bootylicious" star herself.
"It's a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl. I don't think she looks like me, but that's all right. They can fix that up," Etta tells us.

And appearance isn't all Beyoncé will have to work on.

"Oh my god, she's going to have a hill to climb, because Etta James ain't been no angel!" she says.

Producers have informed Etta that she'll get the chance to consult with the 26-year-old Destiny's Child star, giving her pointers on both the acting and the singing — the latter being something the "At Last" singer was most concerned with when she got wind of the casting.

Of her many hits, Etta feels, "I have my own way of putting those songs over, and I was just wondering if Beyoncé could, and my son said, 'They're thinking about how she looks, but mama, she can really sing!'"

It was the Dreamgirls star's performance at the Grammys earlier this month that won Etta over, when Jay-Z's main squeeze rocked "Proud Mary" with Tina Turner.

"I kinda have a man's voice. It's a contralto, more bluesy, religious. I would really like to work with her on that," the 70-year-old songstress says.

Of her life lessons, Etta, who battled heroin addiction for many years, says, "I can tell Beyoncé some things; some of the things I might not tell her."

She does stress that the emotional transformation Beyoncé must undergo will have to be a little intense.

"I wasn't as bourgie as she is, she's bourgeois. She knows how to be a lady, she's like a model. I wasn't like that... I smoked in the bathroom in school, I was kinda arrogant, so those are some of the things I would want to tell her."

The flick will co-star Adrien Brody (reportedly replacing Matt Damon) in the role of music exec Leonard Chess, as well as Cedric the Entertainer and Jeffrey Wright.

The meeting between the divas will be happening soon, as sources tell us filming is scheduled to start on March 10 in New Jersey, with two days on location in Mississippi. [x]

Who better than to prepare you for your role then the person you're going to be portraying? Very good look for Beyonce, considering she's not the best of an actress but she does have potential. When I see Beyonce in a movie, I can't help but look at her as Beyonce, not as whoever it is she's supposed to be in the film. The fact that she keeps choosing "singing" roles doesn't help the case either but for some reason I think she's going to surprise a lot of people with this movie. It sounds like Etta James gon' teach her a thing or two.

Janet Jackson On Cover Of Vibe Magazine

Damn, she's looking good as hell on that first cover. I see Vibe's new art director is doing it up.

ILNY 3 Announced

Tiff goes Hollywood.

Tiffany (New York) Pollard will be back with a third season of her VH1 reality show, this time sharing the bill with her ne'er-do-well boyfriend George (Tailor Made) Weisgerber.

"The season is going to be called 'New York Loves Hollywood' and will follow her attempt to become an actress in Los Angeles," says an insider.

"They are currently trying to cast established industry people in Hollywood to be on the show with her."

Fingers are crossed for a hot-tub scene with her and Harvey Weinstein. [x]

Ugh. Say it isn't so. We've had three seasons of Flavor Of Love, on the second season of Charm School, rumors of Bootz and Buckey getting their own show and now ILNY 3? I stopped watching that shit during season 1. I guess whatever gets them their ratings...

Janet Jackson Calls Rihanna, Beyonce and P!nk "Future Divas"

I definitely agree. I'm surprised she mentioned P!nk. No one ever mentions my favorite female artist. Gotta love JJ. ;)

Knowles To Rev Up 'Cadillac'

Beyonce Knowles is adding "executive producer" to her resume.

The 10-time Grammy winner has signed on to executive produce and star in Darnell Martin's "Cadillac Records" for Sony BMG Films.
Knowles will play Etta James in the 1950s period film about the Chicago record company Chess Records; its founder, Leonard Chess; and the turbulent lives of some of the label's legends, who included Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf and Chuck Berry.

Martin ("Their Eyes Were Watching God") penned the screenplay. Sony BMG's Andrew Lack and Sofia Sondervan are producing for the 3-year-old specialty label.

Knowles joins a cast that includes Adrien Brody (Chess), Jeffrey Wright (Waters), Cedric the Entertainer (Willie Dixon) and Columbus Short (Little Walter). Emmanuelle Chriqui and Tammy Blanchard co-star.

Music for the film is being produced by Steve Jordan ("Cars," "The Sopranos"). Knowles will record four songs for the soundtrack, which will be released through Music World Entertainment and Columbia Records.
The singer-actress will donate a portion of her fees for the film to recovering addicts through her family's charity, the Survivor Foundation, according to her reps.

Knowles ("Austin Powers in Goldmember") earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Deena Jones in 2006's "Dreamgirls" and a 2008 Grammy nomination for best compilation soundtrack album for the film. She also was nominated for the record of the year Grammy this year for her song "Irreplaceable."

Knowles is repped by ICM and Music World Entertainment. [x]

I guess it's official now that she will indeed play Etta James in the movie. I don't know about these singing roles. Shit got annoying after her Austin Powers gig. Why can't she play a crackhead or a serial killer or some crazy shit? She plays the same exact role in every movie. Talk about being versatile. *rolls eyes* Considering who's directing the film and the extremely talented actors who will also be starring in the film, I have no doubt in my mind that this will be a good film. I'm just pissed Beyonce signed up for it. As much as I love her...

On the flip side, her upcoming album is gearing up to become one hot record. She's working with Timbaland for the majority of the album. Rodney Jerkins ("Say My Name," "Cater 2 U"), Jack Splash (Alicia Key's "Wreckless Love," "Teenage Love Affair") and Freemasons have also claimed that they're working with her on a couple of tracks. It is rumored that both Kanye West and Leona Lewis are in some way, shape or form going to appear on the album as well.

Kristin Kreuk Added To Cast Of Street Fighter

Kristin Kreuk, no stranger to franchise reinvention from her time on "Smallville," will play Chun-Li in the latest big screen incarnation of "Street Fighter."

Also set for the "Street Fighter" cast are Chris Klein as Nash, Oscar nominee Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog and Rick Yune as Gen.

According to Variety, the cast of the Andrzej Bartkowiak-directed feature will also include Moon Bloodgood, Taboo, Edmund Chen and Cheng Pei Pei. The key role of the villainous Bison has yet to be cast.

Dion Lam will choreograph the action sequences on "Street Fighter," which is set up through Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom, with 20th Century Fox set to distribute.

Justin Marks adapted what will be the second attempt to turn the popular video game franchise into a big screen success. A 1994 dud starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia and Ming-Na as Chun-Li.

Since it premiered in 1987, "Street Fighter" has become one of the most successful video game franchises of all-time, moving 25 million units and generating more than $1 billion in revenue.

In addition to her long run as Lana Lang on The WB and CW's "Smallville," Kreuk has been seen in the telefilm "Eathsea" and in the feature "EuroTrip."

"American Pie" and "Election" star Klein is currently co-starring on CBS' "The Captain," while Duncan's recent credits include "The Last Mimzy" and "Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins." [x]

I completely forgot about this movie. I was a big fan of the video games back in the day. I guess Kristen Kreuk resembles Chun-Li a little bit. Who cares, Chris Klein is in this one. :)

P!nk & Carey Hart Divorcing

The marriage of pop singer Pink and her husband of two years, motocross racer and former The Surreal Life star Carey Hart, has ended, the singer's publicist, Michele Schweitzer, tells PEOPLE.

"Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another," says Schweitzer, adding, "While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."

Pink, 28, and Hart, 32, met at the 2001 X Games and broke up for a time in 2003, but the split was well behind them in 2005, when the singer popped the question to her beau as he sped around the track during a competition in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

They married in January 2006 at a non-denominational ceremony in Costa Rica. Among the 100 guests was Lisa Marie Presley.

In August 2007, amid reports that the marriage was on the rocks, Hart dismissed the stories as "just a bunch of trash talk." [x]

Damn, that's sad. I hope P!nk is okay. She's been with him since 2002, though they were only married for two years. There have been rumors and speculations regarding Hart's cheating ways but it was all said to be bullshit. I'm beginning to wonder if it was all true. I mean, I can't but wonder when I see pics like:

I know P!nk will get through this. She's working on her follow-up to her platinum album I'm Not Dead and she's working with Butch Walker ("Long Way To Happy," "Leave Me Alone.") I can't wait to see what she cames up with this time. If anyone can channel their emotions into their music, it's P!nk.

May I Take Your Order Please?

I'm sorry, I just had to post this. *dead* Credit goes to my boy BLU.

Jessica Alba On Cover Of Latina Magazine

In Latina's March 2008 cover story, Jessica Alba gets personal with Editor-in-Chief Mimi Valdés Ryan and directly responds to the rumors that have resulted in her now-commonly used nickname, "Jessica 'Don't Call Me Latina' Alba." Check out some of her revealing answers below, and don't forget to pick up the full story when the issue hits newsstands on February 19!

On her reluctance to walk the red carpet at Latin events: "I'll support those shows, but I can't go on the press lines and have people make me feel bad about myself. Life is too short. I can't change how I grew up, and I shouldn't have to apologize for it. I know I feel close to the Latin community, because that's what I grew up with."

On claims that she's proud to have cut loose from her Mexican roots: "I never said that. Cut loose from what? What the hell are they talking about? Why would I want to cut loose from the only family I know?"

On not learning to speak Spanish as a child: "I wish to God that my dad spoke Spanish to my brother and me, but he didn't grow up with it."

On confusing other men for her dad as a kid: "When I was little, I used to go up to black men and hold their legs, thinking it was my dad all the time. I'd wrap my arms around them, then look up and be like, 'Oh my God!'"

On being accepted for who she is in Hollywood: "I was always trying to figure out: How the hell am I going to be mainstream? How are people going to accept me? When are the going to get a clue that I am American, that this is what America looks like--people like me who are mixed, have different blood, mixed with different ethnicities? When are the people who are hiring for these jobs and writing these screenplays going to realize that?"

On what she wants her baby to look like: "I'm excited for my baby to be brown. I just have to believe the dark gene is going to survive. Cash and I are like, please!"

The only picture I like is the cover. Can you guess why?

Taylor Kitsch To Star As Gambit

According to Superhero Hype!, "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch has been cast as "Gambit" in the new "Wolverine" film. He's signed a a three-picture deal.

He'll be joining Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Danny Huston (William Stryker) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) in the 20th Century Fox release, opening May 1, 2009.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, "Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

As you all know, I'm a big fan of Friday Night Lights. I'm an even bigger fan of X-men (not the movies). You would think I'd be cheering but I'm not. I don't think Kitsch is the best actor suited for this role. I personally would like to have seen 'Lost' star Josh Holloway, as Gambit.

The accent, the look... I think Josh Holloway would've captured that to the tea. Oh well. I hope Kitsch can pull this off. The X-Men movies suffered tremendously in part because of the horrible casting (Anna Paquin as Rogue? Come on now.) Kitsch doesn't come across as a versatile actor. I'm crossing my fingers for this one.
