Free Will Vs. Destiny/Fate
Let's get a little philosophical in here.
Do you believe we have free will, free to do as we wish, constanly changing our fate OR are we merely living a predetermined life, with our destiny already chosen for us? Does everything happen for a reason or do things just happen?
Is it a little bit of both? And if so, explain.

Official "Notorious" Trailer
Synopsis: Notorious tells the story of the life of rapper Christopher Wallace a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G. The film stars multiple award winner Angela Bassett as Christopher’s mother Voletta Wallace, Derek Luke as Sean Combs, Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur and introducing Jamal Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G. After the overwhelming response to a year long aggressive and active worldwide search, Jamal Woolard, a Brooklyn native, was selected to portray the infamous rapper. Notorious is directed by George Tillman Jr.
In just a few short years, The Notorious B.I.G. rose from the streets of Brooklyn to become one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time. B.I.G. was a gifted storyteller; his narratives about violent life on the streets were told with a gritty, objective realism that won him enormous respect and credibility. His stories were universal and gave a voice to his generation.
Film hits theaters January 16th.
Don't Flirt at the Halloween Party
A wife got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the
Halloween party alone.
He, being a devoted husband, protested, but she argued and said she
was going to take some aspirin and go to bed and there was no need for
his good time to be spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and
away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for about an hour, woke
without pain and as it was still early, decided go to the party.
As her husband didn't know what her costume was, she thought she would
have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was
not with him. So she joined the party and soon spotted her husband in
his costume, cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every
nice 'chick' he could and copping a little feel here and a little kiss
there.
His wife went up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he
left his new partner high and dry and devoted his time to her. She let
him go as far as he wished, naturally, since he was her husband.
After more drinks he finally whispered a little proposition in her ear
and she agreed, so off they went to one of the cars and made passionate
love in the back seat.
Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away and went home and
put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of
explanation he would make up for his outrageous behavior.
She was sitting up reading when he came in, so she asked what
kind of time he had. 'Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a
good time when you're not there.' Then she asked, 'Did you dance
much?'
He replied, I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got
there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the
spare room and played poker all evening.' You must have looked really
silly wearing that costume playing poker all night!' she said with
unashamed sarcasm. To which the husband replied, 'Actually, I gave my
costume to your brother, apparently he had the time of his life.

R.I.P. Grandma
My grandmother passed away yesterday. She had been living with Hepatitis C for about 10 years. She died in her sleep early Saturday morning. I broke down crying just a little while ago... I can't even begin to to imagine the pain my mom is going through, who's the one would found her dead. As most of you know, I'm Dominican and half of my family lives in the Dominican Republic. I called my mom earlier and she couldn't even talk on the phone... crying hysterically. Just, wow. :( :( :( :(
Grandma, I can't believe you're gone. You were always there for me. Such an intelligent woman, so tender yet so strong, so caring, so loving... yet you lived a life full of suffering and pain. Though I miss you... and your silly jokes and pranks... and your wonderful words of wisdom... I'm happy that you're finally at peace. Thank you for giving birth to my beautiful mother, who I can't ever imagine losing, so I can't even begin to feel her pain. I'm sorry I never gave you that family picture you wanted that I took of everyone last summer. I fucking love you abuela, I know you're looking out for us from above. May your soul finally rest in peace.

Dawn Richard's Interview With Wendy Williams
[Interview]
She talks about the Danity Kane split, Aubrey getting thrown out the group, rumored solo career and etc.
I honestly don't think she has a chance as a solo artist; I just don't see it happening. The same can be said about Danity Kane as a trio; it's not going to happen. The girls have let drama and tension ruin their group and possibly their careers. I wish them all the best of luck, but with Diddy on their side, they'll probably end up getting dropped and he'll move onto a new batch. Same shit, different year.

Beyonce Preps Double Album & 2 More Singles
Details about Beyoncé’s upcoming album, due in stores Nov. 18, have been hard to come by until now. But yesterday, the singer's father, Matthew Knowles, unveiled the complete tracklisting for members of the press in Hollywood, and even played a few minutes of each song and afforded details about promotional plans. First, it’s a 17-song double-album. However, if the economy has you looking to save a few bucks, you can instead buy a condensed 11-song single-CD version; both editions will go on sale the same day.
The first disc in the deluxe package is on the balladic side, while the second disc focuses on more upbeat, rhythmic material. What’s more, the two discs have separate titles. The first one is dubbed I Am… Beyoncé. Papa Knowles said the name of the second disc will remain a secret for now and revealed in connection with an upcoming promotion; he would only refer to it as “I Am dot-dot-dot.” Rumors suggest that the name of the second disc will be I Am... Sasha, the name Beyoncé has given herself in the past as an alter ego. (If you want to take a wild guess at what kind of promotion Knowles is alluding to, there’s already a contest-laden teaser website, whoissashafierce.com, that may offer some clues.)
Despite rumors of collaborations with Kanye West and Justin Timberlake, there are no guest stars on the new album. Beyoncé’s dad said this was a purposeful choice designed to spotlight the singer's growth without fellow celebs getting in the way. He did, however, allude to plans for a guest on the song "Ego" that fell through. Given the title and playful lyrics (“It’s too big/It’s too wide/It’s too strong/It won’t fit...He’s got a huge ego...I love his big ego”), one could guess this was the track designed for a West cameo, though Knowles demurred when asked what happened with the celebrated rapper.
The two-CD version will sell for about $4 or $5 more than the single-disc version, according to Knowles, who said the less expensive edition is aimed at meeting the demand for CDs priced under $10 these days. Knowles said they expect about a 50/50 split between sales of the two versions.
Two singles are being pushed simultaneously: I Am... Beyoncé's “If I Were a Boy” to top 40 and adult contemporary, and I Am...'s “Single Ladies” to rhythmic formats; “Halo” and “Ego” will be the second singles for those formats, respectively. (Urban adult contemporary radio, meanwhile, is about to be offered a Beyoncé single that isn’t even on her new album: the Etta James cover “At Last,” from the soundtrack of Cadillac Records, which hits stores Dec. 3 with three new Beyoncé tracks.)
Not enough Beyoncé developments for you? All right, here’s more: A video album of clips for every song -- much like the DVD she did for her last album -- will arrive in February, about the same time as a Spanish-language version of the new set (not to mention still another Beyoncé movie, Obsessed). Then she kicks off a 110-date tour in April, starting in Canada before going on to Europe, the States, Mexico, South America, and a week-long stint in Vegas, before wrapping up in Japan, Africa, and Australia. :o
As for the new record, Daddy Knowles said 70 songs were recorded over eight months, but only 17 lucky tunes made the cut. Here’s a full listing, along with the individual producers (Beyoncé gets her own producer credit on each number, naturally, as well):
I Am... Beyonce
1. “If I Were a Boy” (Toby Gad and Beyoncé Knowles)
2. “Halo” (Ryan Tedder and Beyoncé Knowles)
3. “Disappear” (Amanda Ghost, Dave McCracken, Ian Dench, and Beyoncé Knowles)
4. “Broken-Hearted Girl” (Stargate and Beyoncé Knowles)
5. “Ave Maria” (Stargate and Beyoncé Knowles)
6. “Smash Into You” (C. “Tricky” Stewart, Terius “The-Dream” Nash, and Beyoncé Knowles)
7. “Satellites” (Amanda Ghost, Dave McCracken, Ian Dench, and Beyoncé Knowles)
8. “That’s Why You’re Beautiful” (Andrew Hey and Beyoncé Knowles)
I Am... Sasha
1. “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” (C. “Tricky” Stewart, Terius “The-Dream” Nash, and Beyoncé Knowles)
2. “Radio” (Jim Jonsin, D-Town, Rico Love, and Beyoncé Knowles)
3. “Diva” (Shondrae “Mr. Bangladesh” Crawford, Sean Garrett, and Beyoncé Knowles)
4. “Sweet Dreams” (Jim Jonsin, Wayne Wilkins, Rico Love, and Beyoncé Knowles)
5. “Video Phone” (Shondrae “Mr. Bangladesh” Crawford, Sean Garrett, and Beyoncé Knowles)
6. “Hello” (REO and Beyoncé Knowles)
7. “Ego” (Elvis “BlacElvis” Williams, Harold Lilly, and Beyoncé Knowles)
8. “Scared of Lonely” (Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins)
9. “Why Don’t You Love Me?” (Beyoncé Knowles, Solange Knowles, and Bama Boyz) [x]
*faints*
The double disc album is indeed true! Wow, Beyonce is gearing up for one hell of an era with this project. A video for every single song? 110 city tour? A Spanish re-release? Wow. My only complaint is this: Why release a condensed version (11 tracks) of the album? I don't understand why they won't release the 17 track double disc album by itself and call it a day. How did they decide which eleven songs to choose to make the "condensed" album? I don't know maybe it's just me... And what happened to Freemasons, Kanye West and Timbaland working with her on this album? I guess that fell through. Anyhow, I cannot wait for the madness to begin; I <3 this girl. I've been playing If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies nonstop. Let me go practice by Dutty wine real quick.

"Friday Night Lights" Is F*cking Great
I'm watching the second episode of the third season of Friday Night Lights right now. Three seasons in and I tell you, there isn't a show quite as engaging and intense as it on prime time television (I'm excluding all cable network shows). Football is just the backdrop; the characters and their lives just pull you in. I must say this show offers some of the best acting I've seen in quite a while. My only complaint(s) with this show have been the two extremely lackluster season finales. Anyhow, the show is currently airing it's shortened 13 episode long season on DirecTV, before it airs again on NBC this January.

"True Blood" Adds Four New Characters
HBO's "True Blood" is adding some fresh blood for next season.
Guest stars Mehcad Brooks, Todd Lowe, Deborah Ann Woll and Michelle Forbes have been upped to regulars for the show's recently ordered second season. All will appear in the first-season finale later this fall.
The season closer of Alan Ball's vampire drama will mark Brooks' first showing as Benedict "Eggs" Talley, a mellow, guitar-strumming refugee from a hard life.
"Gilmore Girls" alum Lowe debuted his character Terry Bellefleur in Episode 2.
Woll plays Jessica, while Forbes ("In Treatment") plays Maryann.
Brooks, best known for ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and the film "In the Valley of Elah," is repped by Innovative and Mosaic. [x]
More characters?! I can't wait! I love this show. It has quickly become one of my TV obsessions. I'm about to watch the sixth episode, which aired earlier tonight. Check out the promo trailer below.
Episode: Cold Ground
Synopsis: Numbed by tragedy, Sookie looks for refuge from the cacophony of her friends’ and neighbors’ inner voices. After lashing out at his sister and decking Andy, Jason wrestles with withdrawal symptoms from his V juice habit. Tara resists the overtures of her mother Lettie Mae (Adina Porter), who’s trying to rid herself of a demon and needs her daughter’s help. Sam and Tara make a connection in their mutual search for “something real.”

Beyonce's New Singles Premiere
Beyonce is back! Both of her new singles, If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies leaked earlier this morning and I must say, I'm impressed.
If I Were A Boy, produced by Tony Gad ("Big Girls Don't Cry"), showcases a different side and sound of Beyonce, both in it's lyrical content and vocal performance. The acoustic verses, the powerful hook, risky lyrics all mesh up will in this mid-tempo ballad. I think this song will be huge hit for her and will resonate with a lot of females out there. Job well done Beyonce, you've taken a risk for the first time in your career. You've chosen a song that's nothing like we're accustomed to hearing from you and you've made it your first single. Listen to If I Were A Boy here.
Single Ladies (produced by The Dream) is going to be my party anthem; I can already see the kids at the club going crazy with this. The off-beat production and catchy chants are what make this song work (reminiscent of "Get Me Bodied"); this is a #1 smash for her, mark my words. I just hope she delivers with this video, please Beyonce, do not fail me now. I can not wait to see her perform this live. Listen to this future club banger here.
Beyonce's album will be titled I Am... and hits stores November 18th. Check out this fantastic footage of Beyonce rehearsing for the videos and talking about her new album.
I'm impressed. I'm happy. I'm excited. The album is barely one month away (November 18th) and considering the short amount of time she has left to promote, we will be be seeing a lot of her, everywhere. I can't fucking wait. And it has begun...
