Episode 7: Ringer
My original thoughts on Moonlight were that it sucked. It came across as a bootleg version of Angel. So I stopped watching. Now, everyone is watching the show and from what I hear the show has improved tremendously. That's probably due to the fact that the shows' original director/writer, Greenwalt ("Angel"), left the show. He worked on the first two episodes. His friend Chip Johannessen ("The X-Files" and "Surface") has since taken over and has given "Moonlight" new direction and life.
Although the first two episodes of "Moonlight" were not received well by the critics and the show has not lived up to predecessor "Close to Home," recent airings have shown more promise. While ABC's "Women's Murder Club" is registering more viewers comparatively on Fridays at 9 p.m., "Moonlight" is attracting more 18- to 49-year-olds, the most coveted demographic for advertisers.
