What a beautiful rendition. She looked and sounded beautiful.
In other Beyonce news, Single Ladies is #1 again on the Hot 100 for a fourth week. Her album, I Am...Sasha Fierce jumped to #2 this week selling over 210,000 copies, bringing it's total to 1.5 million. At this rate, there's no doubt in my mind that this album will surpass the sales of her last album, B'Day.

Santo's Top 10 Songs Of 2008
10. A Milli (Lil Wayne)
9. Since You've Been Gone (Day 26)
8. I Luv Your Girl (The Dream)
7. Love In This Club Part 2 (Usher feat. Beyonce)
6. Am I Dreaming (Kat DeLuna feat. Akon)
5. Amnesia (Cherish)
This song flopped, undeservingly so. I was one of the few people I knew who loved this song. Maybe it's because no one even got to hear it. I don't know if I liked it because it sounded similar to N'Sync's Gone, or because I was going through something and the song just spoke to me. All I know is that this song still gets plays on my iTunes and it's a shame that radio didn't give this song a chance.
4. So What (P!nk)
P!nk is probably my favorite recording artist. Her albums have been consistently good. She knows how to switch it up and she's not afraid to take risks. Funhouse is my favorite album of 2008 and this song definitely re-introduced her with a bang. Reminiscent of her 2006 song Cuz I Can, this is P!nk at her best. I guarantee my 2009 list will be filled with a couple of P!nk tracks.
3. Single Ladies (Beyonce)
Get Me Bodied part 2. That's exactly what Single Ladies is. The funny thing is that the former flopped and the latter is quickly becoming one of her biggest hits. Maybe it's the video. Or no wait, the parodies. Or maybe it's those insanely awesome performances. Hmph, whatever the case, Beyonce has released another #1 banger and I'm loving it.
2. Bust Your Windows (Jazmine Sullivan)
While I've never busted anyone's windows (I was really close to though but that was way before the song was released), I can totally relate to the pain Jazmine Sullivan sings about in this gem of a track. The video was a huge disappointment but that didn't stop me from loving this song. No other song captured the emotion and vulnerability that Bust Your Windows did. So What came close, but this one takes the win.
1. Get Naked (Britney Spears)
The first time I heard this song, I fell in love with it. The hypnotizing production, the sexual chants, the insanely catchy hook; this is in my opinion, one of Britney Spear's best songs ever. As a matter of fact, this will probably go down as one of my favorite songs of all time. It's weird because not many people consider this song one of Blackout's standout tracks. I might be in the minority but it doesn't matter. No song this past year got more spins than this one did. My birthday is coming up in two months; I think I'm going to make it my birthday theme.
2008 was a good year in music. I developed a love for dance music and I hope to see more and more quality dance tracks in 2009. I have my eye on Lady Gaga & M.I.A. I see you Britney ("Kill The Lights," "If You Seek Amy" are my new obsessions). I hope Jazmine Sullivan breaks through to the mainstream world. Beyonce isn't going anywhere. Rihanna better drop another banger as good as Good Girl Gone Bad. P!nk has yet to disappoint me... let's keep it like that. Here's to 2009 being a good year in music. I'll be back tomorrow with my top videos and album picks of 2008.

"Undressed" Coming To DVD
From TVShowsOnDVD.com
A week and a half ago we reported that a notice posted at the UndressedTV.com website had stated that "All six seasons of Undressed will be available on DVDs in the not-so-distant future." Soon afterward we began getting e-mails from a few fans, expressing concern whether the website was affiliated with MTV, which aired the series, or whether any DVDs sold via the site would be "official" or not. We directly asked the folks at UndressedTV about this, and in response we were given quite a bit of new information.
Regarding the rights and the sources for this release, we were informed that "The content of the DVDs comes directly from the digital tapes that were used to broadcast the show. It's as good a quality as can be had (without re-mastering). The DVDs are authorized by the right holders and MTV, but MTV is not expected to be involved in neither the distribution nor marketing."
Furthermore, we're told that the first release is planned to be ready to go in approximately 6 weeks. This official DVD will include Seasons 1 and 2 together. They will "be available only for online ordering and worldwide shipping."
Seasons 3 through 6 will be released, independently, over the course of the next one-to-two years. The success level of the Undressed - Seasons 1 and 2 DVD release will determine whether the program can be distributed via "offline" (i.e., in-store)methods.
We've even been told this surprising little tidbit: "Depending on the success of the DVD(s), there might even be a season 7 produced of the show for Television." Doesn't THAT whet your appetite?
Our thanks to the folks at UndressedTV.com, and to the people putting the DVD together, for sending this additional information our way. If you haven't done so yet, head over to the DVD page at UndressedTV and sign up to show your interest in these releases. And stay tuned, because we'll continue to update you further as more information comes along! [x]
I used to love this show. I'll definitely be copping this once it's released.
Despite What Others May Think...
Melina's videos are extremely cheap.
Dave Meyers is the best video director out there now.
Christina Aguilera is arguably the best vocalist of this generation.
Bow Wow is gay.
"Shockvalue," "FS/LS," "Loose," "Good Girl Gone Bad" and "Blackout" are some of the best produced albums of the last five years.
Good Girl Gone Bad >>> B'Day.
The Coldest Winter ever was a good book.
Annie Liebowitz is overrated.
Veronica Mars, Dexter, The Wire and Damages are amongst the best shows of all time.
Heroes sucks.
I Am... Sasha Fierce will outsell B'Day.
Arlenis Sosa is the next big thing.
Smallville is boring.
Tom Welling is gorgeous.
Amazon MP3 >>> iTunes.
Jazmine Sullivan is going to be HUGE.
Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams is an excellent album. Had Beyonce recorded it, it would've been an instant classic.
Britney Spears is the Michael Jackson of this era.
808's & Heartbreak = Late Registration >>>>>> College Dropout, Graduation.
It Was Written >>>> Illmatic <<<< Reasonable Doubt.
It Was Written is Nas' best album. It's better than any JAY-Z album.
Beyonce, although a good vocalist & performer, lacks creativity and that will be her demise.
Alicia Keys has got to be the most overrated artist of this generation.
Keyshia Cole's third album is her weakest effort yet.
Teedra Moses, Leela James and Vivian Green will never find success, unfortunately.
Snoop Dogg sucks.
Britney Spear's "Blackout" was a WAY better album than "Circus."
Solange is a good songwriter.
Lupe Fiasco is ahead of his time.
Nas won the war: Ether >>> Takeover.
Joe Budden, Cassidy and Fabolous have a lot of potential... and that's where it ends.
P!nk shits on most of the female vocalists in the game right now. Extremely underrated.
Fergie has reached her peak.
Rihanna is the new Beyonce.
Lauryn Hill is NOT overrated.
Talib Kweli's "Reflection Eternal" one of the best rap albums ever.
Kelly Rowland will never be successful.
Justin Timberlake >>> Usher.
Omarion is garbage.
Mary J. Blige can't sing.
Neither Tupac nor B.I.G. are the "best" rappers of all time.
Destiny's Child >>>> TLC.
Ciara can outdance Aaliyah, and Mya can out dance both of them.
Tupac was gay.
Jennifer Hudson did not deserve that Oscar.
"Stripped" is one of the best pop albums of this generation.
Maroon 5 are hell of talented.
Aaliyah would've fell into oblivion had she still been alive today (Brandy, Monica, Mya etc.)
Destiny's Child debut, while not their best album (TWOTW was), has Destiny's Child BEST songs.
Lauyryn Hill is NOT the best female "MC".
Ne-Yo is not that great of a songwriter.
Kat DeLuna is an amazing vocalist.
Justin Timberlake helped end Janet's career.
Eminem >>>> Lil Wayne.

Resident Evil 5
This (along with Alan Wake, Bioshock 2 and Doom 4) has got to be my most anticipated game of 2009. I'm a huge survival horror fan and the RE series is pretty much top of the line. I enjoyed RE4 though I felt the storyline wasn't as strong as the previous ones. That being said, Resident Evil 5 looks like it's going to be insanely good. I can't wait to play this on my Xbox 360. The game is scheduled for release on March 15th.

This girl is spectacular. She photographs unbelievably and her walk is on point. I'm so impressed with Arlenis and what she's accomplished in such a short time period. I expect nothing but big things for her. Chanel and Jourdan better watch out. I'm so glad to see another Dominican doing it big in the fashion industry (besides Omahyra Mota). I love them both. Talking about Omahyra...
I love her editorials. Stunning. I'm a have a Spotlight post dedicated to Omahyra next week. =]
