A lot of new singles dropping this week. What do you guys think of Janet's new single? I'm LOVING it. Sounds like some techno shit off of Rihanna or Britney's latest albums.

Jessica Alba Is Pregnant

Jessica Alba is pregnant with boyfriend Cash Warren's child, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"I can confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer," says rep Brad Cafarelli.

Alba, 26, has dated Warren, 28, since the fall of 2004 after they met on the set of The Fantastic Four, on which Warren was a director's assistant.

The couple have been seen being affectionate together in Los Angeles in recent days, shopping for mattresses last Saturday and attending a Lakers game, where they were spotted kissing Sunday.

Alba has also starred in Sin City and the recent Awake. Her upcoming films are The Eye and The Love Guru.

Before the pregnancy announcement, she said she was in talks to make her Broadway premiere this summer in a revival of playwright David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow. [x]

Congratulations to Ms. Alba.

Geffen Chairman Speaks About Solange's Album

Solange Knowles, Beyonce's younger sister, recently signed to Geffen Records and plans to release her sophomore album, "Hadley Street Dreams," in the second quarter of 2008.

Knowles is currently in the studio in Los Angeles, recording the follow-up to 2003's "Solo Star," via Columbia.

"Her record is totally bananas," Geffen Records chairman Ron Fair tells Billboard.com. "It's not what people would expect from her. The music is more eclectic and international. She's in her own lane."

"It's a touch of retro with beautiful R&B songs and influences of early Natalie Cole and Carole King, and she's only 21," he continues. "I'm crazy about the Pharrell Williams' record that she recently finished, called 'I Decided.' We're finishing the album now." [x]

Beyonce's little sister did what Kelly Rowland should've done years ago; moved to a new label. Supposedly she's working with Q-Tip and Linda Perry but is anyone actually checking for this girl?

Confirmed second single off her album 9 Lives. I'm glad they scrapped Am I Dreaming for this. Much better choice. According to sources Am I Dreaming will be the third single.

Michelle Williams Of Destiny's Child "Stops The Car"

Rumored to be the first single off her 3rd solo album.

I can't front. I'm actually looking forward to hearing her shit.

New Amy Winehouse "Love Is A Losing Game"

I'm glad she made a video for this. Unfortunately, Mrs. Winehouse hasn't been doing too well [Amy Winehouse's Mother Reaches Out To Troubled Singer In Open Letter] lately so I honestly don't think this song/video will be promoted.

London lady soul singer Amy Winehouse left home after powdering her nose (left) and was chauffeured to her first party stop -- where along the way, she decided that she'd change her pants (right) -- leaving paparazzi gaping at the half-naked, gap-toothed, beehived, lovelorn wreck. After an evening of "entertainment," it appears that Wino lost her keys, and had to get back into her home, not by ringing for Jeeves, but by sliding under the gate

Obviously, the girl isn't all there. She recently got arrested for marijuana possession and has apparently been messing around with other drugs as well. Hopefully she checks herself into rehab soon or else I fear for the worst. :-/

Nonetheless, this is my favorite song off her album and I couldn't have asked for a better single to wrap up the album.

Buzz single. Thoughts?

Her Name Is Nicole...Who Really Gives A Fuck?

Nicole Sch..... has yet to release her solo debut and she's already on her third flop. Not a good look. I say she just scraps this whole project and pretend like it never happened. Besides, she looked, sang and danced a whole lot better when she was with the Pussycat Dolls.

And the nominees are...

Grammy nominations were announced today and Kanye West & Amy Winehouse led the pack each receiving eight and six nominations respectively. Other top nominees included Rihanna, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake. Beyonce Knowles scored two nominations including the prestigious Record Of The Year category for her smash Irreplaceable.

Nominees for Best Rap Song:

"Ayo Technology" -- N. Hills, Curtis Jackson, Timothy Mosley & Justin Timberlake, songwriters (50 Cent Featuring Justin Timberlake & Timbaland)
"Big Things Poppin' (Do It)" -- Clifford Harris & Byron Thomas, songwriters (T.I.)
"Can't Tell Me Nothing" -- A. Davis & Kanye West, songwriters (Kanye West)
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)" -- Soulja Boy Tell'Em, songwriter (Soulja Boy Tell'Em) wtf?!
"Good Life" -- A. Davis, F. Najm & K. West, songwriters (Kanye West Featuring T-Pain)

While it's no surprise that the Grammys have become a popularity contest,Crank That (Soulja Boy) being nominated in the same category as 50 Cent, Kanye and T.I is just plain ludicrous. Any song off of Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Talib Kweli or Common's albums could've easily been nominated over this bullshit. How exactly is it that this song is even considered Rap? Superman that hoe? How about no.

Extremely Gruesome PETA Video

Eighty-five percent of the fur industry’s skins come from animals living captive on fur factory farms. These farms can hold thousands of animals, and the practices used to farm them are remarkably uniform around the globe. As with other intensive-confinement animal farms, the methods used on fur factory farms are designed to maximize profits, always at the expense of the animals.

Preview Of Movie Rocks

Looks good. Show airs December 7th on CBS.

Keyshia Cole Video "I Remember"

I like the video but I just wish they would've done more with it. I Remember is such a powerful song and the video is just OK to me. Nothing close to the quality of her videos from her last album.

Kelly's New Video "Work"

Definitely an improvement from that wack ass Ghetto video, but it still looks cheap and I hate how they used basically the same background/scene for the entire video. I do like the song though, I just don't think it's going to do anything for her at this point.

New X-Men Cartoon To Premiere Next Fall?

Marvel's mutants could be returning to the small screen as early as fall 2008.

"We are in pre-production," Rollman said. "We have a nice batch of scripts that are done. It's a really neat new take on the X-Men."

Is it tough to do the X-Men again, following Fox Kids' X-Men and Kids' WB!'s X-Men: Evolution?

"I wouldn't say it's tough, I would say it's fun," Rollman said. "There's so much to do with them. Yeah, there's been two series that have been done, but there's plenty of room in this world. The point of view in this one, since it's called Wolverine and the X-Men, has quite a different twist to it as the sort of base story line."

Greg Johnson, who wrote the first four Marvel/Lionsgate animated films and was a story editor on X-Men: Evolution, is story editor. The first three episodes, which will air as the pilot for the series, are being written by Johnson.

Rollman said the series hasn't been sold to a network yet. [x]

Yes, I'm an Xmen fan. I can't wait to see this shit. And while I wasn't a big fan of the Evolution series, I was a huge fan of the Marvel series of the 90's. I'm not big on cartoons but this is one I'll definitely watch. Any X-men fans in the house?

'Moonlight' On Path To Renewal

Garlic may not repel it, sunshine may not kill it, and Moonves won't cancel it.

It looks like "Moonlight" is close to earning a second season renewal from CBS, one of two new shows network chief Les Moonves says he feels will make a return in 2008.

Moonves spent some time talking to The Hollywood Reporter about the fall season, which has been dismal in terms of new shows for nearly all the networks. NBC probably took the biggest hit, but CBS hasn't fared too well either. In fact, the only other show that would probably earn a renewal is the comedy "Big Bang Theory."

"That's Hall of Fame batting," Moonves said, saying two hits out of five swings was something he was proud of. Shows like "Moonlight" represented a risky move for the network, but probably not as risky as the musical "Viva Laughlin," which only lasted a few episodes before CBS yanked it from the schedule.
Click to learn more...

"It was a Hail Mary pass," said Moonves, shifting his analogies from baseball to football. "We took it. We'll continue to do that. We continue to feel very bullish about the network television business."

"Moonlight" has been one of fall's most consistent genre series. Although it's the least-watched CBS program on Friday night, it still is doing almost as well as "Heroes" on NBC and "Pushing Daisies" on ABC in terms of overnight ratings. Its household rating fell to a series low in its third episode, but has never really come close since, sitting a little more than half a rating point off its series premiere numbers. "Bionic Woman," on the other hand, has not been so lucky for NBC. That show has lost more than half of its premiere audience, and continues to post series lows.

"Moonlight" airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. [x]

I must admit that I wasn't impressed with the pilot episode of the series. Actually, I didn't enjoy the first couple of episodes but for some reason, I kept watching and I'm glad that I did. The quality of the show has improved tremendously in both it's writing and plot development. That is primarily due to the fact that David Greenwalt ("Angel"), the original showrunner, left the show and Chip Johannessen took over. The show follows Mick St. John, a vampire/private investigator who falls in love with a mortal woman and his dealings with the city's other vampires.Moonlight has become the sleeper hit of the season and it's ratings have remained consistent since its premiere. The next episode airs on December 14th so make sure to tune in. ;)

Justin Timberlake 'Chops' Up 7th Single

Chop Me Up is the 7th and final single off of the 4x platinum selling album, FutureSex/LoveSounds. No word on whether or not a video will be shot (probably not considering his previous single, Until The End Of Time, didn't get one).

Shit, when was the last time someone released seven singles? Not even Usher, who sold over 10 million copies with Confessions, released seven singles.

Queen B Talks Remy Ma Beef & New Mixtape

The Bee is back in the booth. "I rock rough and stuff, still they put me in cuffs," she rhymes with her feminine ferocity to the approval of the Track Masters, Tone and Poke, who are in the control room in New York's Battery Studios helping Lil' Kim finish the last bit of her new mixtape, Ms. G.O.A.T.

Kim is rapping over Dr. Dre's instrumental to the Lady of Rage's "Afro Puffs." "She's from VA," Kim said of Rage. "A lot of people don't know my moms and pops was born in VA. ... I respect her gangsta, [it's] crazy! So I did it over."

You can also look for remakes of Lauryn Hill's "Lost Ones" and MC Lyte's "Cha Cha Cha" on the mixtape, which is a joint effort between Kim and DJs Whoo Kid and Mister Cee.

"This mixtape is special to me because I do a lot of female-rapper songs over, and it's almost a tribute to them and a thank-you and a shout-out," Kim said. "If no one else is gonna recognize them, I'm gonna recognize the women I looked up to and respect and love. I also got a lot of new songs on there, like the one with me and 50 Cent. It's hot. I'm glad we could do this. He's really a great person. Love you, Fif."

Kim's stance on 50 is a lot different from what she spat on The Naked Truth. The LP was laced with 50 disses. But lo and behold, a few weeks ago the two appeared out of nowhere on a new song called "Wanna Lick (Magic Stick 2)."

"Me and Fif always been really tight. We used to talk on the phone every day," she said about their relationship before their most recent falling-out and reconciliation. "He placed a call to me and I thought it was very big of him, and it was all very respectful. When we were on the phone with each other, we were being very careful to not step on each other's words. It's like the best reunion I think I ever had with a friend. He's really a good person. He had this idea [for the song] and he said, 'Don't nobody do it like you, Bee. I wanna make this "Magic Stick" part two.' Me and Fif got some surprises for y'all."

But just because Kim and 50 have made up, don't go looking for any Kim and Remy Ma collabos anytime soon. Kim just dissed Remy on a freestyle over 50 Cent's "I Get Money." The Queen Bee said it was retaliation.

"At the end of the day, I'm not gonna sit there and not say nothing," Kim said. "I spoke how I felt. She can take it how she wanna take it. She goes in on me, I go in back. It ain't even nothing to think about. At the end of the day, it's on wax, but whatever ... because if you go in on me, I got the right to go in on you — bottom line! Next! I don't even look at it as competition."

Kim and Remy were at least cordial at one point. "A lot of people was coming to me like, 'Why you say something about Remy?' ... These chicks kill me," she said. "One minute they wanna be my friend, then the next minute they on the radio going in on me. The next minute they on songs going in on me. I can't let nobody take that away from me. It's only but so much you can take."

Kim's tone gets playful when she talks about the title of female G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time). "I'm the hottest bi*ch out," she says in a playful whisper. "I'm real cocky these days, huh? I'm loving it.

"Shout out to all the females in the game," she added. "All females should have the right to be cocky and boast about what they do. One person might be the best at what they do. Trina is the best at what she does. She's the baddest bi*ch in the South. Missy is the baddest bi*ch, I'm the baddest bi*ch. It's gotta be love for the next person — love and work. It's art. At the end of the day, it is what it is."

Kim is almost out of her recording contract with Atlantic Records and says she might have a new album out as early as February. [x]

Pretty Ricky Breaks Up

This may not be worth much to the grown and sexy, but you gotta have something for everyone.

Sources tell AllHipHop.com Alternatives that rumors surrounding a break up of popular boy band Pretty Ricky are true. According to representatives for the group, Pleasure P has left the group to pursue a solo career. The news comes as Pretty Ricky were enjoying the success of their latest album Late Night Special.

Oh well. They had their run. Why is it that groups can't seem to stay together?

Ashanti Talks About New Songs Off Her Upcoming Album

Ashanti talked about a few new songs on her upcoming album "The Declaration" titled "Struggle", "Good Good", and "Crime".

Ashanti says that "Struggle" is one of her favorite songs on the album, it talks about about being in a relationship and you have your suspicions that the other person may be unfaithful, but at the end of the day you really love this person and its hard because you keep crying but you are really in love at the same time.

"Crime" is a song about a girl who finds herself in a wrong relationship, and finds out that she's in a relationship with a married man.

And "Good Good" is an up-tempo song that talks about keeping your man satisfied. Ashanti also said that a video for 'Hey Baby (After The Club)' should be released before the end of December. [x]

[Listen]

Below is a video of Ashanti performing a new song titled "The Way I Love You" at the Nokia Theater. Song was supposedly produced by L.T. Hutton, who has done work with 2pac and Krayzie Bone amongst others. From what I'm hearing, this might be the second single. Thoughts?

HIV Is On The Rise

Today is World Aids Day (December 1st). Worlds Aids Day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic. Since it originated in 1988, there have been countless organizations and charities that have helped the cause by promoting awareness. "AIDS has killed more than 25 million people, with an estimated 38.6 million people living with HIV, making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history."

The rate of new infections among gay men under 30 in New York City rose 33 percent from 2001 to 2006.

The number of gay and bisexual men in the U.S. with HIV or AIDS has risen 13 percent in just the last four years.

Each year 3,000 adolescents contract sexually transmitted diseases, which is about one in four sexually experienced teens.

Black women represented 67% of AIDS diagnoses in women in 2006, though they make up just 12-13% of the population.

In the 50 states and the District of Columbia, an estimated 14,216 black men were diagnosed with AIDS in 2005, compared to 10,852 white men, 6,558 Hispanics, 444 Asian/Pacific Islanders and 152 Native Americans. This means that black men made up 44% of AIDS diagnoses in men during 2005.

Be safe ya'll. Wrap it up. It's your life. Know who you're getting involved with. It is YOUR life and it is in YOUR hands. Hopefully we find a cure for this horrible disease really soon, but until then all you can do is protect yourself and get tested.
