Kat DeLuna Gets A Re-Release

According to Kat DeLuna's Myspace page, her debut album 9 Lives will be re-released later this Spring, which will feature new songs and possibly, a DVD featuring her video for Whine Up and the yet to be released videos for Am I Dreaming and Run The Show.

Her album, 9 Lives debuted at a disappointing #59 and quickly tumbled after that. Her total sales are in the 90,000 range. Her first single, Whine Up was a huge success in the Dance Charts (#1) but failed to hit the top ten on Billboard's Hot 100 (#29). The video though, was an instant smash.

Her new single Run The Show was recently released to radio and the video, which features Busta Rhymes, is scheduled to premiere soon. A video for Am I Dreaming was shot in November but was never released due to low album sales. Since then, they've decided to give Ms. DeLuna another shot. They've scrapped Bachata-influenced ballad Am I Dreaming for the uptempo Run The Show in hopes of doing some damage at radio. Am I Dreaming is now going to be the third single.

I've seen this chick perform live and I'm telling you she has potential. She can sing her ass off. She can perform. She has stage presence. All she need is the right team behind her and some more mature songs and she'll be set. Hopefully the Run The Show video is hot and she gets the success she deserves.
