"Birds Of Prey" Gets DVD Release Date

The wait is over! Birds Of Prey, the hit WB show and the #5 most requested unreleased show on TVShowsOnDVD.com, will finally make it to DVD. Three young female heroines will be fighting together, living together, and soaring into adventure together when Warner Home Video's releases Birds of Prey: The Complete Series on July 29, 2008 for $39.98. Birds of Prey: The Complete Series includes all 13 episodes from the series plus all new bonus features in a 4-disc collection.

It's about fucking time! I've been waiting for this show to be released on DVD since it first premiered six years ago. The show, starred Ashley Scott ("Jericho") as Huntress (daughter of Batman and Catwoman), Dina Meyer as Oracle and Rachel Skarsten as Dinah, who flock together to fight crime on the streets of New Gotham City.

The show continued the legacy of Batman and though it was cancelled after only 13 episodes, us fans will now have the full season on DVD for us to re-watch over and over again.

Birds of Prey had a lot of potential and the ratings were superb (7.6 million on it's premiere episode). But after the first couple of episodes, the WB stopped promoting the show and the ratings started to decline. The show was never given the opportunity to grow and was cancelled prematurely. It would've been nice to see where they would've taken this show, two-three seasons down the line. Oh well, at least we have the DVD being released now. Finally.
